Teacher Partners

Imagine the Possibilities: Partnerships across Mississippi

Imagine your students:

  • excited about STEM education
  • engaged in hands-on learning experiences
  • involved in real world problem solving
  • exploring a variety of STEM fields

Education is ever changing.  Collaboration with other educators is a key to navigating each new year and successfully implementing new and best practices.  With the new shift to online learning and hybrid classroom schedules, teachers are looking for ways to engage students and keep learning going amid constant change.  By partnering with the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (MSMS), teachers can unlock new opportunities for themselves and their students.

Outreach Programs

MSMS has an extensive outreach program to assist interested schools or districts with implementing discovery learning. MSMS wants to partner with districts across Mississippi by offering a series of very special outreach activities, programs, and camps throughout the school year.

Professional Development

MSMS STEM Educators conduct professional development webinars throughout the school year.  Check back soon for a listing of  upcoming dates and  access to our archived sessions.

Hands-on Learning

STEM learning can be enhanced by classroom demonstrations as well as campus visits.  We host groups on campus throughout the year and visit classroom in person.  Those visits can be done virtually also.  Contact us to determine how our STEM educators can assist with activities, lectures, and demonstrations for your students.

Admissions Recruitment

Teachers are the best resource for knowing which Mississippi students need the opportunity to attend MSMS.  If you have taught an academically gifted student who could benefit from higher level classes with like-minded peers, please help us identify them by encouraging them to apply during their 10th grade year.  Our application is open from October 1st to February 1st and can be accessed here
