As a residential high school, The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science is keenly aware that parent involvement is a vital ingredient for student and school success. Because of this, all parents are encouraged to join P.L.U.S. (Parents Lending United Support), the school’s official parent organization.

P.L.U.S. provides additional support and resources to current MSMS students. Some of the organization’s signature projects include Winter Formal, Prom, and student snacks during exam week. Additionally, P.L.U.S. takes on a variety of rotating projects to help provide support to students in need or to allow the school to provide a wider variety of community development activities for students.

In addition, P.L.U.S. members are instrumental in supporting our Admissions Team by spreading the word about local Super Nights and other recruitment events in their region. They also provide meaningful support to families considering MSMS and serve as a mechanism for parents to provide meaningful feedback to school leadership.

Parents also have the opportunity to join P.A.L.S. after their child graduates. Known as Parents of Alumni Lending Support, members can continue to provide additional support and resources for MSMS alumni and current students.

If you are a current parent or a parent of an alumni who is interested in staying connected with MSMS and would like to give your time and talent in a meaningful way, we encourage you to join today!
