Outreach

  • Sponsor any of the following annual outreach events hosted at MSMS or in other areas of the state:

    • Traveling STEM Carnival

    • Mu Alpha Theta Tournament 
    • Middle School Science Bowl 
    • Capitol Day 
    • African American Youth in Mississippi Excelling (AAYME) Camp 

Admissions recruitment

  • Attend Super Nights and share your MSMS story. 
  • Participate on Admissions Committees:  Application Review & Interview. 
  • Promote MSMS Admissions events on social media. 
  • Refer friends and family members who are potential MSMS students. 

Entrepreneurship Program

  • Provide expertise through presentations, planning, and program development. 
  • Provide internship opportunities. 
  • Sponsor the annual Business Plan Competition. 

Engineering Program

  • Get in touch with engineers who would like to serve as speakers to help MSMS students better understand engineering careers.
  • Provide engineering lab equipment. 
  • Assist with student engineering projects. 
  • Provide competitive grants for MSMS student projects. 
  • Provide funding for the expansion of the engineering lab. 

MSMS Excel – Summer Bridge Program

  • Provide funds for supplies and teaching stipends during this two-week summer seminar for incoming juniors. 
  • Provide expertise through presentations, planning, and program development.
