MSMS Science Journal
The MSMS Science Journal is a student-led research journal founded in 2020 by biology instructor and research mentor Dr. Tina Gibson. The journal’s mission is to promote scientific excellence, encouraging students to use their passions and curiosity to dive deep within a research topic of their interests.
Students conduct a semester’s worth of research with access to multiple labs and all the MSMS faculty. These resources give students the tools they need to study research topics across a wide range of disciplines that will prepare them for undergraduate level research. Previously, students completed their research investigations and communicated their findings only to members of the STEM community at prestigious competitions and conferences. Now, through the MSMS Science Journal, students have the opportunity to share their research discoveries with the public in an easy to read scientific journal format that showcases the students’ papers from research conducted throughout the school year.
