MSMS FACULTY MEMBER NAMED WINNER OF PRESIDENTIAL AWARD

MSMS mathematics instructor Lauren Zarandona is one of only 213 teachers nationwide to be named a winner of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

In early September, Zarandona will travel to Washington, D.C. to attend an awards ceremony and receive a prize of $10,000.

Zarandona has taught at MSMS for eight years. Among the many classes she teaches are algebra II, Foundations, AP Statistics, Number Sense, Logic and Game Theory, and others. You can read newspaper coverage about Zarandona by clicking here.
