Kim Padeletti (formerly Thames), a 2002 graduate of MSMS, is the new president of the MSMS Alumni Association.
An Ocean Springs native, Padeletti holds a BS in chemical engineering from Ole Miss and currently works as an international project engineer and project manager at the Houston, Texas oil and gas company BHP Billiton.
Before taking on her current position, Padeletti garnered more than a decade’s worth of experience in the oil and gas business as an engineer and project leader.
She is the recipient of several awards, including the Junior Engineering Technical Society Extreme Engineer Award and the Occidental Award for Excellent Achievement.
Over the years, Padeletti has made it a point to give back to MSMS. In 2013 she founded an engineering scholarship for MSMS students who attended Ole Miss and in 2016 became the new president of the MSMS Alumni Association.
According to Padeletti, her goals as president include, “increase[ing] overall engagement with the alumni group, [and] assisting alumni in making new connections and collaborating through sharing advice, ideas, resources, and experiences by region and globally.”
