An anonymous donation to the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science will make it possible for the school to admit two additional students into the MSMS Class of 2018.
The donor has pledged $44,000 over the course of two years to the school. The donor has already supplied $22,000 of the amount.
Due to a stagnant budget, MSMS was forced to cut enrollment this year. The school, which has the physical capacity to house and serve nearly 300 students, was preparing for a student population of 238 students.
Inspired in part by this act of generosity, the MSMS Foundation is currently seeking donations to admit yet another student.
