Niche released its Best Schools Rankings for 2021, and for the fourth year in a row, The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science faculty ranked No.1 in the nation.
According to the organization’s website, “The Best Teachers Ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and teacher data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and parents.” With an A+ overall grade, MSMS was named No.1 out of 19,147 schools ranked.
“This recognition highlights the work MSMS faculty continue with our students in the midst of a national pandemic,” said Kelly Brown, Director for Academic Affairs. “Excellent teachers are a gift to any educational institution, and we are fortunate to have a culture of excellence at our school. Our faculty have risen to the challenges posed throughout the school year, including the abrupt shift in education in mid-March.”
Executive Director Dr. Germain McConnell added: “Even though we have achieved this honor for the past several years, it never gets old because we understand we cannot rely on what we did the year before. We must continue to provide the best possible learning experiences for students each year. Additionally, this honor is very special this year because we have had a few new additions to our faculty the past few years.”
