Are you wondering how students can find an outlet for expressing their creativity in writing and in visual arts at a school for mathematics and science? All MSMS students have the opportunity to do so by being published in our award-winning literary/arts magazine, Southern Voices. Along with its companion English-elective courses, creative writing I & II, as well as many course offerings in art, Southern Voices functions much like labs do in chemistry and physics, giving students opportunities to explore and develop their creativity beyond the demands of a typical classroom. By taking writing and art courses, and by participating in competitions, MSMS students step into their imaginations and manifest their dreams. They have the opportunity to contribute poems, short stories, and creative nonfiction essays, as well as paintings, drawings, sculpture, and photographs to Southern Voices.
