On Thursday, February 23, 2023, 391 of Mississippi’s brightest mathematicians took part in the annual Mu Alpha Theta Math Tournament hosted by the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science.
Over fifteen public and private schools from all over Mississippi participated in the event. The tournament consisted of written tests, team ciphering, and potpourri competitions. All competitions were uniquely designed and scored by our MSMS Mu Alpha Theta chapter.
Awards were presented to the top schools in their respective category.
Individual Written Test Awards

Calculus Written Test – Andy Tran from Northwest Rankin High School.
