MSMS ALUM SPOTLIGHT: Megan Smith Class of 2011 NSF CAREER Award

The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science proudly congratulates Class of 2011 graduate Megan Smith on receiving a prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award as a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences at Mississippi State University!

The highly competitive five-year award recognizes early-career faculty members who demonstrate exceptional potential in both research and education. Dr. Smith’s research focuses on understanding the spread of invasive slug species and will also support educational and outreach initiatives for students and the community.
